A novel SVPWM modulation method for eliminating zero distortion of input current in VIENNA rectifier

Abstract:
      After analyzing the reason of input current distortion at zero-crossing point caused by inductance voltage drop in VIENNA rectifier in low car-rier ratio application, a method of using input current to judge the large sector of SVPWM is proposed to eliminate zero-crossing distortion of input current, which can then effectively reduce the THD value of input current. In order to improve the accuracy of sector judgment, a filtering method is proposed combining hardware and software. Further, according to the relationship between the voltage utilization ratio and the modu-lation ratio of SVPWM, the appropriate conditions of input current aided judgment method for SVPWM large sector are analyzed, and then the output voltage boundary conditions are obtained while using this method. Finally, the MATLAB simulation model of the rectifier and a 1.5kW VIENNA rectifier experimental prototype were built to verify the feasibility of the improved SVPWM modulation method, which can effec-tively eliminate input current distortion at zero-crossing point.
