Abstract:
      In order to reduce the adverse impact of the rapid fluctuation of photovoltaic output and grid load power on the energy storage system, the smoothing algorithm was introduced into the virtual synchronous generator control technology. First, by establishing a small-signal model considering the smoothing algorithm, the effect of the smoothing algorithm on the power change rate of the energy storage system was verified and the relationship between the physical constraints of the energy storage system and the smoothing algorithm was deduced. In addition, based on the exploration of the output characteristics of the system with different reactive power indicated the influence of the smoothing algorithm on the system's ability to provide reactive power. The theoretical deduction and simulation verification shows that the smoothing algorithm can not only reduce the power change rate of the energy storage system, but also can stabilized the system fluctuation and shorten the dynamic response time of the system by designing a reasonable filter. However, the introduction of smoothing element will increase the capacity requirements and decrease the range of the reactive power output when the storage capacity is constant.
