Abstract:
Aimed at the problems of low voltage gain and low transmission efficiency of traditional bidirectional DC-DC converters, an improved high-gain bidirectional quasi-Y-source DC-DC converter topology is proposed. By regulating the duty cycle of a bidirectional power switch and the turns ratio of a coupled inductor, bidirectional power transmission is achieved. This topology is simple and has a higher transmission efficiency. In addition, it has continuous input current, and the winding turns ratio is more flexible in design, which further improves the voltage gain and widens the voltage regulation range. First, the topology and working principle of the proposed circuit are analyzed, and its buck/boost voltage performances in power forward and reversed transmissions are demonstrated by mathematical derivation. Then, simulations are performed using Matlab/Simulink. Finally, an experimental prototype was built for verification, and both simulation and experimental results verified the reliability and superiority of the proposed circuit topology.
