Abstract:
      A small DC-link capacitance drive system equipped with film capacitor instead of electrolytic capacitor has many advantages, such as a longer life, lower cost, smaller volume, and higher power factor, which eliminates the drawbacks resulting from electrolytic capacitor. However, it also brings problems such as system instability. In this paper, the stability of a small DC-link capacitance drive system(SDCDS) is theoretically analyzed at first. On this basis, the active damping method with the DC-link voltage reference signal reconstruction is used to solve the instability problem. Finally, an experiment was conducted on a sensorless induction motor drive system, which verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
