Abstract:
      An interleaved-type bidirectional DC/DC converter is studied in this paper. When this converter operates in Boost mode, the input is connected in parallel, which reduces the input current ripple; meanwhile, the output is connected in series so that a large voltage conversion ratio is achieved. When it operates in Buck mode, the input is connected in series while the output is connected in parallel, which extends the step-down ratio and minimize the output current ripple. Moreover, the voltage stresses of power devices can be reduced in both modes. The operation principles and steady-state characteristics of the proposed converter in both modes are analyzed in detail. Finally, experimental results were given to verify the theoretical analysis.
