Abstract:
      To solve the problem of low efficiency of a multi-phase DC/DC converter in light-load status, a phase-frequency control method is proposed for a multi-phase interleaved parallel DC/DC converter, which can effectively improve the efficiency of the converter in middle- and light-load statuses. The number of working phases is reduced to lower the switch tube loss, and thus improve the efficiency of the multi-phase interleaved parallel DC/DC converter in a certain load range. On the basis of PFM frequency control technology, multi-frequency control technology is used to improve the efficiency of the converter in light-load status. Meanwhile, PSM frequency control technology is used to improve the energy transfer efficiency of the converter in lighter-load status. The phase-frequency control can broaden the high-efficient operation range of the converter, and improve its efficiency in a full-load range. Finally, the correctness of the theoretical deduction was verified by experiments.
