Abstract:
      In order to solve the big conduction losses and the thermal imbalance of transformerless single-phase photovoltaic grid-connected inverter with a H5 full bridge,an advanced H6 full bridge topology is proposed in this paper. By logic control, pulse width modulation(PWM) can be realized, and the grid-tied current of this inverter flows through three power switches during one of half fundamental frequency cycle, while flows through only two power switches during another half fundamental frequency cycle. As a result, the conduction losses are reduced and the heat-stress balance is benefited with the proposed H6 topology, comparing with the H5 topology. The experiment results of 3kW transformerless single-phase photovoltaic grid-connected inverter verify that this topology features low common mode voltage and high power quality, and it’s an effective solution of alleviating leakage current issue.
