Abstract:
      Excitation regulator plays a positive role in improving the voltage adjustment characteristics of the generator; however, the analysis after the introduction of current measurement is not enough. To study the influence of current measurement value on the excitation regulator's adjustment characteristics, two simulation models were established under the generator's unit operation and grid-connected operation conditions, respectively, and the corresponding adjustment characteristics were obtained. Thevenin's equivalent circuit was used to analyze the current in the excitation regulator. Simulation results showed that the adjustment characteristics of the excitation regulator were different under the generator's unit operation condition and grid-connected operation condition(after the fault removal); the introduction of current measurement value was induced by the vector difference between the generator potential and the system potential, and it was an alternating current with low-frequency oscillation characteristics. Simulations further showed that the addition of an excitation regulator would exacerbate the low-frequency oscillations between the generator and the system to a certain extent.
