| To simplify the difficulty of system modeling and control complexity, when three phase current source PWM rectifier (CSR) are applied as dc voltage power supply in the dc bus. In this paper, a decoupling control strategy for ac and dc side of PWM rectifier is adopted. By aligning the vector of the ac capacitor voltage to the d-axis, the dynamic model of the CSR can be simplified in the d-q rotating frame. Based on this model, The active damping control of virtual resistance method is used to increase the damping of the system, eliminate the harmonic peaks of the LC filter’s frequency characteristic, diminish the influence on DC side by controlling ac side, and enhance the stability of the system. Meanwhile, to ensure the fast dynamic response of the system and simplify the design of the control system, the state-variable feedback control method is applied for the dc side. Moreover, a unity power factor of the CSR is achieved by regulating the q component of the bridge currents. Simulation results are presented to validate the performance of the proposed control strategy in MATLAB/Simulink.
