      相比于传统直流输电技术,模块化多电平换流器型轻型直流输电系统MMC-HVDC(multi-level modular converter high-voltage direct-current)交流输出电压波形质量高,有良好的可扩展性,适用于多种电压和功率场合,而MMC调制策略对MMC系统的输出质量有很大影响,对调制策略进行研究很有必要。首先介绍了应用于MMC的载波移相调制(CPS-PWM)和载波层叠调制(LS-PWM)3种层叠方式的工作原理,并对CPS-PWM、PD-PWM、POD-PWM和APOD-PWM 4种调制进行了深入的对比分析;然后重点比较了4种调制策略在输出相电压谐波畸变率及等效开关频率等方面的表现,总结4种多载波调制的特点及应用场合;最后通过Matlab/Simulink搭建单端三相无源逆变MMC系统对4种调制进行对比分析,验证上述理论结果。

      Compared with the traditional direct current(DC) transmission technology, the high-voltage DC transmi-ssion system based on the modular multi-level converter(MMC-HVDC), which features high-quality AC output voltage wa-veform and satisfying scalability, is suitable for multi-level voltage and power applications. Since the modulation strategy for MMC has a great effect on the MMC system's output quality, the related study is necessary. First, the working principles of carrier phase shifted pulse width modulation(CPS-PWM) and three kinds of cascading methods for level-shifted PWM(LS-PWM), which can be applied to MMC, are introduced. Second, four kinds of modulation strategies, i.e., CPS-PWM, phase disposition pulse width modulation(PD-PWM), phase opposition disposition pulse width modulation(POD-PWM), and alternative phase opposition disposition pulse width modulation(APOD-PWM), are compared and analyzed in depth. Especially, the performances of these four modulation strategies are compared from aspects including the output phase voltage harmonic distortion rate and equivalent switching frequency, and their characteristics and application scenarios are summarized. Finally, a single-ended three-phase passive inverter MMC system is built in Matlab/Simulink to compare and analyze these four modulation strategies, and results verify the theoretical results.
