Abstract:In consideration of the problems in the traditional interleaved parallel Boost converter, such as low voltage gain, high voltage stress in the switched tube, large current ripple of inductor current, etc., a novel interleaved parallel Boost converter was presented. First, two switched inductor units were used to replace storage inductors L1 and L2, and the switched inductors were coupled and integrated. On this basis, one diode and two capacitors were added to form a switched capacitor network. Second, the working modes at different duty cycles were analyzed, the expression of voltage gain was derived, and the voltage stress in the switched tube and the size of inductor current ripple were analyzed. Compared with the traditional interleaved parallel Boost converter, the performance of the proposed converter was improved substantially. Especially, compared with the traditional interleaved parallel Boost converter, when the duty cycle D was larger than 0.5, the voltage gain of the proposed converter was 3(1+D) times higher, and the voltage stress in the switched tube and the current ripple of inductor current were reduced by two thirds and one half, respectively. Finally, the theoretical analysis was verified by experimental results, showing that the proposed converter had excellent operating performance.
